PLATTSBURGH — Brooke Knight scored two goals and assisted on two others and Lindsey Bushey scored two goals with one assist as SUNY Plattsburgh routed SUNY Canton 10-0 in a nonconference college women’s soccer game Wednesday night.

The Cardinals built a 6-0 lead over SUNY Canton (2-1) by halftime and held a 25-4 edge in shots.

Cammey Keyser, Vicky Scott, Anissa Hartmann, Kelly Siry, Sarah Haight and Christen Averill each scored single goals for the Cardinals (2-1).

WOMEN’S SOCCER

JEFFERSON CC 1, TOMPKINS-CORTLAND CC 1

Lauren Smith, Kali Frank and Kerstin Phelps each made their respective penalty kicks to lift the Cannoneers to a season-opening Mid-State Athletic Conference victory over the Panthers in Dryden.

The game was tied 1-1 at the end of regulation and two 10-minute overtime periods, forcing a penalty kick shootout to decide the winner. JCC won the shootout, 3-1.

Mackenzie Kidder scored on an assist from Phelps in the 8th minute, and Katie Aldrich made seven saves for the Cannoneers (1-0).
