Black River Fall Fest is Saturday in Watertown

WATERTOWN — The 2014 Black River Fall Fest will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday on Public Square.

The Watertown Downtown Business Association-sponsored event will feature more than 60 craft and food vendors.

The annual festival also features a car show in the J.B. Wise Parking Lot. The show, which is sponsored by the Highway Legends, is free to enter and the first 100 vehicles will receive a free dash plaque.

Awards for the car show will be presented at 3:30 p.m.

New this year is “Kids Zone,” with face-painting, balloon animals and inflatable rides.

The festival will be held rain or shine.

The festival also will feature demonstrations from downtown businesses, including American Kang Duk Won Karate, and several musical performances by Chad and Liza Darou, Tom Gagnon and Simple Jack.

The event is free, but the Watertown DBA will be accepting nonperishable food items at its tent for donationd to the Watertown Urban Mission.
