WATERTOWN — A Copenhagen woman was injured Monday night after she ran a stop sign and hit another vehicle at the corner of Holcomb Road and Mullin Street.

City police said Kayla M. Noftsier, 19, of 101 Lord St., hit a vehicle driven by Kevin G. Mathous, 44, of 24428 Route 11, Lot 17, Calcium, around 7 p.m.

Police said Ms. Noftsier told them she had sun in her eyes and could not see the sign.

Following the crash, she complained of neck pain, and was taken by Guilfoyle Ambulance to Samaritan Medical Center. Mr. Mathous was not injured.

Police ticketed Ms. Noftsier with failing to stop at the stop sign.
