WATERTOWN — Jefferson Community College added three members to the Cannoneer Hall of Fame on Thursday at the Watertown Elks Lodge.
The class featured Michael Delaney (1970) stand-out baseball and basketball athlete, who is the athletic director and guidance director at Immaculate Heart Central. Jennifer (Podvin) Richmond (2003) a two-time All American in basketball in 1991 and 1992, who returned to the school in 2002 and led the women’s lacrosse team in a bid for the national championship, also was inducted. Richmond was named one of the Top 100 Greatest Athletes in the north country by the Times in 2008.
Also honored was Times sportswriter John Day who has covered sports, including the Cannoneers, for 41 years.
