CARTHAGE — The second annual tenant appreciation picnic was held at Brady Acres Apartments, 600 S. Washington St., July 20, hosted by the Town of Wilna Housing Authority.
“This is a great way to show appreciation to tenants at Brady Acres. We are so fortunate to have such a great group of people living here. We hope everyone had a great time and we look forward to this even every summer,” said Kelly Bush, executive director for the housing authority.
From 3 to 6 p.m., tenants were served lunch and enjoyed entertainment by The Double Barrel Blues Band. Brushstrokes by Melina provided face painting for children and adults, as well as balloon animals. A special surprise was Fireman Tom’s Ice Cream Truck from Black River, which provided ice cream and treats to everyone. The Carthage Volunteer Fire Department also came with its new fire engine and allowed the children to tour the new truck.
