TURIN — Tug Hill Tomorrow Land Trust will sponsor a Tour De Core mountain bike trip this Saturday, July 26.

Participants should meet at the Timberview Lodge, 5265 Carpenter Road, at 10 a.m. for the start of the 10- to 15-mile bike ride, which should take roughly three hours.

Trip leader and THTLT board member Robert McNamara said, “We’re going to ride into the Tug Hill core forest and just ride around.”

McNamara noted a mountain bike in good working order is a must for the trip, for the ride will take place on rough roads meant for four-wheel drive vehicles. This trip is meant to be “just a fun ride,” he added.

“We just like to take people into the heart of Tug Hill and show them what’s out there,” said McNamara.

Riders should also bring a helmet.

Tug Hill Tomorrow Land Trust has many more events planned for the remainder of the summer. A complete list can be found at www.tughilltomorrowlandtrust.org.
