POTSDAM — Village police on Sunday charged Steele D. Floyd, 19, Heuvelton, with aggravated driving while intoxicated. He was also cited with consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle and inadequate plate lamps.
Police said that at 2:21 a.m. on Maple Street, they stopped Mr. Floyd for driving with an inadequate plate lamp and he was found to be intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of 0.18 percent, the threshold for aggravated DWI. Under state law, a BAC of 0.08 percent or higher is considered proof of intoxication.
He was issued an appearance ticket for Potsdam Village Court.
