CRIMINAL CONTEMPT - OGDENSBURG - Gouverneur-based state police charged Justin K. Whitmarsh, 23, of Edwards with a felony count of first-degree criminal contempt and second-degree harassment early Monday afternoon following an investigation into a domestic dispute reported at 11:33 p.m. July 9 from the town of Edwards.

PETIT LARCENY - OSWEGATCHIE - Ogdensburg-based state police charged Jeremy J. Barkley, 29, of Ogdensburg with petit larceny at 3:40 p.m. Monday. The arrest was made at 410 Cedar St. Troopers said the charge stemmed from an investigation into a shoplifting incident reported at 9:23 a.m. Monday from the town of Oswegatchie.

HARASSMENT - HAMMOND - Ogdensburg-based state police reported Tuesday they had charged Chad E. Simmons, 30, of Hammond with second-degree harassment on Saturday stemming from an investigation into a domestic dispute reported at 4:35 p.m. July 5 from the town of Hammond.

CRIMINAL CONTEMPT - HAMMOND - Ogdensburg-based state police charged David M. Pechey, 32, of Hammond with a felony count of first-degree criminal contempt and a misdemeanor charge of endangering the welfare of a child at 3:24 p.m. Friday after responding to a residence on County Route 1 in Hammond to assist Child Protective Services with an investigation.

Troopers alleged a 14-year-old male at that residence had been repeatedly threatened by Pechey, which reportedly was in violation an order of protection issued by the Hammond Town Court. Pechey was arraigned in the town of Morristown Court and released under the supervision of the probation department. Pechey is to reappear July 28 at the town of Hammond Court.
