CRIMINAL CONTEMPT - HOPKINTON - Massena-based state police charged Dean M. Lamphere, Jr., 23, of Hopkinton with second-degree criminal contempt and fourth-degree criminal mischief after responding to a domestic dispute complaint at 10:14 a.m. Sunday at 2194 state Route 11B, Hopkinton. He was reportedly involved in a physical altercation with his brother, David, and also burned clothing belonging to his girlfriend. He was also charged by EnCon Police with open burning. Lamphere was arraigned by Hopkinton Town Justice David Beekman and sent to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility with bail set at $2,500 cash or $5,000 bond.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT - NORTH LAWRENCE - Massena-based state police reported Tuesday they had charged Timothy Merwin, 24, of North Lawrence with disorderly conduct on July 8 following an investigation into an incident reported at 7 p.m. June 24 from the town of Lawrence. Merwin was allegedly screaming, swearing and making inappropriate comments to neighbors, trooper said.
DWAI - ST. REGIS FALLS - Malone-based state police charged Marley B. Bimble, 84, of Dickinson with driving while ability impaired and ticketed him for an equipment violation following a traffic stop at 3:30 p.m. Sunday on state Route 458 in the town of Waverly.
