WATERTOWN — A Sonic Drive-In restaurant soon coming to outer Arsenal Street will conduct interviews to hire about 100 employees during an open recruitment day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 18 at the Workplace employment agency, 1000 Coffeen St.
The restaurant, which is expected to open by the end of the month, plans to hire servers, drive-through operators and managers, said Cheryl A. Mayforth, executive director of the Workplace. She said representatives from the franchise, built in the City Center Plaza near Interstate 81, likely will make hiring decisions during the recruitment day.
“People should come prepared for an interview and be dressed properly, because it’s going to be an on-the-spot interview,” she said.
Though the franchise has not disclosed hourly pay for positions, entry-level jobs are expected to be close to minimum wage, Mrs. Mayforth said.
Construction of the restaurant began in late May, with the goal of completing the project in 60 days.
