Motorists accused of DWI

The following motorists were charged with DWI and related offenses:

John M. Chatterton II, 34, of 714 Holcomb St., Watertown, was charged by Watertown city police at 9:34 a.m. Thursday with aggravated DWI and speeding on Friday after being found traveling at 42 miles per hour in a 30 mile per hour zone on the 500 block of South Massey Street. His BAC was listed as 0.23 percent.

Under state law, a BAC of 0.08 percent or higher constitutes proof of intoxication. Aggravated DWI is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or higher.

Kristopher K. Wyer, 23, of 20342 Bagham Road, Fort Drum, was charged by Watertown police at 2:41 a.m. Friday with aggravated DWI and failure to keep right on the 1000 block of Arsenal Street.

His BAC was 0.22 percent.

Samuel T. Guevara, 19, of Charleston, S.C., was charged by state police at 1:51 a.m. Thursday on Route 3, Wilna, after being found speeding. His BAC was 0.12 percent.

Andrew J. Zeller, 22, of 11734 Lyons Corner Road, Adams Center, was charged by state police with operation impaired by drugs at 1:15 p.m. Thursday on Route 178, Adams, after allegedly leaving the scene of a property damage accident on Liberty Street.

He was also charged with moving from lane unsafely, unsafe tires, broken glass, possession of marijuana, criminal possession of a controlled substance and possessing a controlled substance in a non-original container.

Beau D. Elliott, 34, of 35682 County Route 36, Carthage, was also charged by state police at 8:30 p.m. Thursday on West End Avenue with driving with an improper license and a motorcycle helmet violation. His BAC was 0.11 percent.

Peter T. Merigris, 38, of 30908 County Route 148, Felts Mills, was stopped by state police at 9 p.m. Thursday after squealing his tires on Route 3, Champion. His BAC was listed as 0.11 percent.

Dennis S. Workman Jr., 29, of Henderson, was charged by Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies at 3:30 a.m. Friday after hitting a stop sign on Route 123 in the town. His BAC was not listed.

He was also charged with speeding, leaving the scene of a crash, failing to stop at a stop sign, moving from lane unsafely and failure to keep right.
