DOG AT LARGE - Village police charged Tammy L. Gardner, 56, of Potsdam with allowing her dog to run at large at 8:59 a.m. Sunday on Waverly after responding to a report that a loose dog had been spotted on numerous streets and had growled at a person. Police said they had received several similiar reports of the dog running at large over the past week. The dog was taken into custody by the animal control officer and taken to the Potsdam Animal Shelter.

0041 Patrols responded to Racquette Road for a report of suspicious subjects. Subjects left the area prior to patrols’ arrival.

0218 Patrol assisted subject who was in need of directions to a local business.

0410 Patrols assisted a village resident who had lost their cat. Cat was located and returned to the owner.

0824 Potsdam Rescue dispatched to Mayfield Drive.

0859 A dog was reported to be running around the neighborhood on Waverly Street and reportedly growled at a subject. Dog taken to animal shelter. Owner charged.

1300 Harassment complaint received. Investigation continues

1345 A subject reports property was stolen off her porch on Waverly Street.

1630 Completed a background check on an individual for employment purposes.

2148 Report received of a report of a hit and run property damage accident on Grant Street. Investigation continues.
