LAFARGEVILLE — Senior Amber Klock struck out nine in a five-inning no-hitter to lead LaFargeville to a 5-0 victory over Lyme in a Frontier League “D” Division softball game on Thursday.

Klock also hit a three-run triple in the second inning for the Red Knights (8-5 overall, 7-4 league).

Lacey Black and Logan Labiendo each doubled, and Labiendo drove in two runs for LaFargeville. The Indians fell to 4-7.

SOUTH JEFFERSON 6-3, INDIAN RIVER 0-0

Heather Williams and Janessa Vaadi pitched back-to-back shutouts to power the Spartans (14-2, 13-2) to a crossover doubleheader sweep of the Indians in Philadelphia.

Williams pitched a two-hitter in the opener and Vaadi followed with a one-hitter.

In the first game, Williams provided a bases-clearing double, and Jackie Decker went 2-for-2 with a double and an RBI for the Spartans.

India Leddy gave up a hit and three unearned runs in the second game for Indian River (7-6).

GENERAL BROWN 17, THOUSAND ISLANDS 4

Katie Pitkin tallied 14 strikeouts in a complete game, and went 3-for-5 with three RBI as the Lions beat the Vikings in a crossover game at Clayton.

Rhea Pitkin and Hanna Smithers each knocked in three runs and Shay Siver doubled for General Brown (12-1). Casey Webb went 3-for-4 with a double for Thousand Islands (5-6).

SANDY CREEK 22, BELLEVILLE HENDERSON 1

Madison Bush went 5-for-6 and drove in four runs as the Comets used two seven-run innings to rout the Panthers (0-12) for a crossover victory in Belleville.

Gabriella Guarasce doubled and tripled for Sandy Creek (12-3, 12-1).

SOUTH LEWIS 13, SACKETS HARBOR 9

Jaedyn Ossont went 3-for-4 with a home run and scored four runs to power the Falcons past the Patriots in a crossover game at Turin.

Dianna Crofoot finished 3-for-4 with two doubles, and Marissa Brown went 2-for-3 with a double for South Lewis (7-5, 6-5).

Alexis Filley drove in five runs with a triple and two singles for Sackets Harbor (3-11, 2-10).

LOWVILLE 5, BEAVER RIVER 3

Catherine Lyndaker made a running catch at full extension in deep center field with two outs in the sixth inning to rob Mariah Abel of a bases-clearing hit and secure the Red Raiders’ crossover win over the Beavers in Lowville.

Ashlee Sprowl singled twice and Mckailey Lyndaker struck out five in a complete game for Lowville (7-7). Hailie Lehman went 2-for-3 for Beaver River (5-9, 4-9).

BASEBALL

INDIAN RIVER 14, SOUTH JEFFERSON 13

Ed Malinoski doubled twice, singled and drove in four runs to lift the Warriors to a division crossover win in Philadelphia.

Gary Ruckman doubled, singled and knocked in a pair of runs for Indian River (5-6, 4-6).

Cody Modlin slugged a two-run home run and singled for the Spartans (5-9), and Caleb Beach singled three times.

WATERTOWN 11-14, LOWVILLE 4-2

The Cyclones used a nine-run sixth in game one and an eight-run fifth in game two to sweep the Red Raiders (6-9) in a crossover doubleheader at the Alex T. Duffy Fairgrounds.

In the first game, Jarrod Bellinger went 2-for-5 and Killian LaDue drove in two runs on two hits for Watertown (12-3, 10-1).

In game two, Joe Freda went 2-for-3, Nick Lavin knocked two runs on two hits and Chris Bristow launched a solo home run for the Cyclones.

GENERAL BROWN 9, THOUSAND ISLANDS 2

Tom Gerstenschlager went 3-for-3 with a double and three RBI, leading the Lions to a crossover victory over the Vikings (7-5) in Clayton.

Jared Christopher singled twice, and Sean Shepard allowed two runs on four hits in a complete-game win for General Brown (4-10).

SOUTH LEWIS 31, SACKETS HARBOR 5

Naythan Cobb and Lucas Kelly each drove in six runs as the Falcons routed the Patriots for a crossover win at Turin.

Jake Vanbeber plated four rins for South Lewis (11-1), while Ryan Allen and Ethan Fillingham supplied two hits for Sackets Harbor (8-4).

SANDY CREEK 12, BELLEVILLE HENDERSON 7

Tyler Doe went 3-for-5 and drove in two runs as the Comets used a six-run second to beat the Panthers for a crossover win at Belleville.

Jarod Williams doubled, tripled and drove in a run for Sandy Creek (12-7). Brendan Moore and Hunter Benjamin each went 2-for-4 for Belleville Henderson (4-9).

THOUSAND ISLANDS 7, LYME 2

Noah Ingerson won his first start with eight strikeouts and slapped two hits as the Vikings beat the Indians (0-11) in a crossover game at Clayton.

Brandon Belleville added a pair of hits for Thousand Islands (8-5).
