Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways council honors local volunteers

WATERTOWN — Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways volunteers from Jefferson, Lewis and St. Lawrence counties were recently honored by the council for outstanding service to local Girl Scouts.

The following volunteers from St. LAwrence County each received the Girl Scout Appreciation Pin:

n Julie Bush, Ogdensburg, recently became manager for the Picquet Service Unit, coordinates the cookie program, and is a troop leader.

n Sandy Mallory, Potsdam, has been an active volunteer, service area team member, troop leader, manages troop resources for the service area, and alternate delegate for the council.

n Polly Michael, Heuvelton, has been a troop leader for many years.

Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways also recognized local volunteers with the Volunteer of Excellence Award for their “outstanding service while partnering directly with girls,” according to a recent news release. Those award recipients include Tara Crowley, Jenn Hitsman and Sandra McCarthy of Ogdensburg.
