GLEN PARK Senior Katie Pitkin recorded nine strikeouts in a complete game one-hitter to lead General Brown to a 5-1 victory over South Jefferson in a Frontier League B Division softball game Monday at Brownville Elementary School.
Pitkin also went 2-for-3 and drove in two runs for the Lions (11-1 overall, 7-1 league).
The victory gives General Brown a one-game advantage over South Jefferson for the division title with four league games left for each team.
Deleha Decker singled and knocked in two runs for General Brown.
Heather Williams singled in the first inning to provide the only hit for the Spartans (11-2, 10-2), who dealt the Lions their only loss on April 24.
LOWVILLE 3, IHC 2
Kaitlin Fayle singled in a run in the top of the seventh inning to lift the Red Raiders to a crossover victory over the Cavaliers at the Alex T. Duffy Fairgrounds.
McKenzie Marti tripled, doubled and scored the game-winning run, while Fayle drove in two runs for Lowville (4-7).
Elena Alteri and Emma Renzi each drove in a run for Immaculate Heart Central (8-4, 4-4).

Brianna Brizuela and Heidi Amato provided two hits apiece to lead the Warriors to an A Division victory over the Cyclones in Philadelphia.
Brizuela drove in two runs for Indian River (6-4).
Shytarra Lemon tripled for Watertown (2-12, 1-8).

Brooke Spaulding sent the second pitch of the game over the left-field fence for a solo home run, and finished 3-for-5 with two home runs and three runs batted in overall to guide the unbeaten Golden Knights to a crossover victory over the Falcons in Turin.
Kylie Guyette doubled and singled for Copenhagen (12-0, 10-0), and Spaulding struck out eight in a complete game win.
Jaedyn Ossont went 2-for-4 for South Lewis (6-5, 5-4).

Carley Stoker finished 3-for-4 as the Comets earned a crosover win at Sandy Creek.

According to Vikings coach Paul Barton, the teams raised more than $800 for the American Heart Association in the first red game, in the Frontier Leagues Strike Out Heart Disease campaign.

Emma Puddington tripled and drove in a run as the Beavers beat the Panthers in a crossover game at Beaver Falls.
Mariah Abel doubled and knocked in a run for Beaver River (5-8, 4-8).
