Jason Hardie went 3-for-4 with a double and three runs batted in to help the Jefferson Community College baseball team salvage a Region 3 East Division doubleheader split with Herkimer County CC on Wednesday at the Alex T. Duffy Fairgrounds.

The Generals won the first game, 13-4, and the Cannoneers captured an 8-2 victory in game two.

Hardie also went 3-for-4 with a home run in the first game for JCC (13-16 overall, 7-11 division).

Calder Roggie, Kyle Simmons and Mac Edwards each provided a pair of hits for JCC in the second game.

WOMEN’S LACROSSE

LEBANON VALLEY 20, SUNY CANTON 11

Sam Boyce delivered five goals and four assists, and Mel Modrick added five goals as top-seeded Lebanon Valley defeated No. 8 SUNY Canton (9-5) in an ECAC quarterfinal in Annville, Pa.

Taylor Kruter tallied three goals and four assists, and Tori Kuntz added three goals and one assist for Lebanon Valley (14-4). Anna Pagels recorded twice and four assists, and Bailey Benz and Jenny Simensky added single goals.

Robyn Carroll scored four goals to lead the Kangaroos. Hannah Christiansen, Keeley Rice and Tressa Goolden each scored two goals and Brooke Knight also scored for SUNY Canton.

CANNONEERS HONORED

Victoria Fusco and Jenna Flath of Jefferson Community College were named to the NJCAA Region 3 Division 3 All-Region first team.

Fusco, a freshman goalie, registered 124 saves at 63.3 percent rate.

Flath, a sophomore attacker, started all 10 games and finished the year with 33 goals and 27 assists.

Haleigh Flint and Leighann Booth were both named to the second team for JCC.
