Salmon River rolls past OFA laxers

Undefeated Salmon River showed its depth as it cruised past OFA 21-2 in NAC lacrosse action on Tuesday toward a midseason meeting of unbeatens next week.

Blaze White scored five goals and passed out two assists to lead the number two state-ranked Shamrocks who climbed to 7-0 in conference play .

“Salmon River is very good team but we just had two many drops,” said OFA Coach Matt Morley who very happy to see Dallas Ashley score the second OFA goal, unassisted, with a strong shot off a nice run down the middle.

“We need a good practice if we plan to be sharp at Massena on Thursday.”

Andrew Roddy continued his aggressive play up front scoring the first Devil tally off a pass from Nate Peo.

Myles Delormier netted two goals with three assists for Salmon River and Skylar Thomas tallied two goals with four assists.

Trenton Tarbell scored twice and Davis LaFrance and Tazz Oakes combined for four saves in goal. Quinton Denner fielded 10 shots in the OFA (3-5) goal.

Canton 16 - Potsdam 7: The Bears remained undefeated moving toward a showdown with Salmon River on Tuesday.

Josh Huiatt tallied three goals and two assists and Peyton VanBibber scored three goals for Canton followed by Garret Glasgow (2 goals -2 assists), Issac Thraser (2 goals, 4 assists), Cody Moore (2 goals, 1 asssist), Mark Mahoney (1 goal, 1 assist) and Gage Emerson (1 goal).

Massena 8 - Saranac Lake 6:Sako Rourke and Kendrick Angus each scored three times as Massena defeated the Red Storm (2-4) in Saranac Lake.

Nick Henrie and Ryan Thomas also scored for the Red Raiders (6-4, 6-2). Jeff Stevens scored four goals for the Red Storm and Oliver Holmes added two.

SLC 10 - C-P 0:A five-goal game from Marshall Burninghausen led St. Lawrence Central past the Colts (0-10) in South Colton. Kody Kocsis made seven saves for the shutout.Styles Arquiett scored two goals and Brody Simonds, Nick Randall and Luke Collins also scored for the Larries (5-5).
