Motorists charged with DWI and related offenses

The following motorists are charged with driving while intoxicated and related offenses:

n Lewis A. Patterelli, 27, of 410 Lincoln Ave., Ogdensburg, was charged by Ogdensburg city police with felony aggravated DWI and felony aggravated unlicensed operation early Sunday. Police said Mr. Patterelli, who was stopped on Kiah Street, had a previous DWI conviction within 10 years and a suspended license. His blood alcohol content was unavailable because he refused to take a breath test, police said.

n Kevin A. Hafter, 54, of North Lawrence, was charged by state police early Sunday. Police said Mr. Hafter was stopped on County Route 55 in the town of Lawrence for failing to keep right on a two-lane road. His BAC was 0.09 percent, police said.

Under state law, a BAC of 0.08 percent or higher constitutes proof of intoxication.

n James C. Trainham, 38, of Route 26, Lowville, was charged by Lowville village police at 12:19 a.m. Sunday on South State Street.

Police said his BAC was 0.14 percent.

Charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs:

n Tyler J. Armstrong, 22, Gouverneur, was charged by state police early Sunday after he was stopped on Johnstown Street in the village of Gouverneur for crossing the center line, police said.
