■ Because of a reporter’s error, a story in Friday’s Times about the Food and Drug Administration’s proposal affecting spent grain donated by brewers to farmers included incorrect information about grain production at St. Lawrence Brewing Co., Canton. The brewery now produces about 16,000 pounds of spent grain per year, and it expects to double that amount to about 32,000 pounds in 18 months.

n Due to incorrect information given to the Times, a police item Thursday misstated what Michael D. Lewis, 54, of 36738 Route 26, Carthage, was accused of shoplifting from Walmart Supercenter on Route 3 in Watertown on April 18. The charge of petit larceny pertains to fraudulent use of coupons to acquire $41 worth of merchandise, but a DVD player was purchased legally.
