LOWVILLE An organizational meeting will be held this weekend for those interested in being a vendor at the Lowville Farmers Market.
The session is set for 10 a.m. Saturday at the LeRoy Nichols Building at the Lewis County Fairgrounds.
On average, last years market included 18 to 20 vendors, although the number varied throughout the season, manager Nichole Boucher said.
The cost of participating remains at $125 for the 20-week season or $8 per market.
The 2014 season is slated to run from May 31 through Oct. 25, with no markets June 7 due to the Beaver Camp Auction and July 19 because of the Lewis County Fair.
The market operates Saturdays with theme days, raffles and give-aways, but organizers may open on one or two Friday nights on a trial basis.
For more information, to get a vendor application or to make any suggestions about the market, call Ms. Boucher at 804-6410.
