CARTHAGE — Bailey James drove in three runs on two hits to help power the Carthage baseball team to a 7-5 nonleague victory over Sabis International Charter School of Springfield, Mass., on Saturday.

Carthage graduate Kyle Gaebel is head coach for Sabis, and this is the second consecutive season his team has played at Carthage.

Jacob Walls pitched 5 1/3 innings for his first career win, while Mike Nevills went 2-for-2 with a double and an RBI. Dylan James and Robert Flint each finished 2-for-3 with a double for Carthage (1-3).

Shane Audet was 3-for-4 for Sabis (1-3).
