SARATOGA SPRINGS — Devin Robson produced five hits and drove in three runs as the St. Lawrence University baseball team swept a Liberty League doubleheader from Clarkson, winning 7-2 and 4-3 at Skidmore College on Saturday.

Khifer O’Connor produced two hits in both games for SLU (10-7 overall, 6-3 conference), including a home run in game two. Zane Fish homered in the opener for the Saints, and Joe Riley struck out eight.

David Wixted homered for Clarkson (7-9, 3-5) in game two.

SUNY CANTON 15-8, D’YOUVILLE 2-5

The Kangaroos slugged three home runs while sweeping a nonconference doubleheader from D’Youville (1-10) in West Seneca.

Jordan Hunneyman went 3-for-5 in game one, including a home run for SUNY Canton (11-12). Kevin Hill and Braden Griffin homered in game two for the Kangaroos.

Nick Belile and Austin Hernandez each produced two-hit games in both contests.

SOFTBALL

UNION 7-10, ST. LAWRENCE 1-2

The Saints (5-11, 0-4) were hurt by a pair of home runs as Union swept a Liberty League doubleheader in Schenectady.

Joanna Chalifoux hit a three-run homer in the sixth inning of game one for Union (10-8, 4-0). Allyson Staats hit a grand slam in the first inning of the second game for Union. Lindsey Cohen produced two hits in each game for Union.

ROCHESTER 8-5, CLARKSON 0-1

Meghan Hennessy produced two hits in each game as the Yellowjackets (11-7, 4-0) swept a Liberty League doubleheader in Rochester.

Brittany Grage produced two hits and threw a one-hitter in the opener, striking out nine. Alyssa Murillo homered in game two and Eleni Wechsler struck out eight.

Jamie Bridge, Katie Pelton and Kat Tamburro produced hits in game two for Clarkson (0-16, 0-4).

SUNY FREDONIA 3-0, SUNY POTSDAM 2-4

Megan Briner threw a shutout and Kelly Becker went 2-for-3, including a home run, as SUNY Potsdam (1-11, 1-1) salvaged a split of a SUNYAC doubleheader in Fredonia.

Kelsey Gannett struck out 12 for SUNY Fredonia (5-10, 2-4) in game one, and Kim Lotocki went 3-for-4 and drove in two runs.

SUNY CANTON 5-0, ALFRED STATE 3-8

Jordan Podkladek produced two hits and was the winning pitcher, striking out five, as SUNY Canton (4-10) won game one to split a nonconference doubleheader with the Saxons in Alfred.

Taylor McCarthy threw a four-hit shutout in game two for Alfred State (6-10). Lynn Wood, Lura O’Keefe, Stormi Kruger and Renee Stanford each produced two hits in the second game for the Saxons.

MEN’S LACROSSE

SUNY POTSDAM 10, BROCKPORT 8

A five-goal first quarter helped the Bears defeat the Golden Eagles (4-7, 1-3) in a SUNYAC game in Brockport.

Rob Kunz led Potsdam (8-3, 2-1) with three goals. Pat Bonafede, Matt Kennedy and Berkley Stone each scored twice for SUNY Potsdam and Ed Doherty also scored.

Justin Cook led Brockport with three goals and Steve Brissette tallied two.

SKIDMORE 11, CLARKSON 9

The Thoroughbreds (4-8, 1-3) outscored Clarkson 9-4 in the second half to pick up a Liberty League win in Saratoga Springs.

Kevin Mulvey scored five goals to pace Skidmore. Josh Trachtenberg scored three goals and Quinn Hawkins threw in two.

Robert Linder, Peter Goss and Ryan DaRin each scored two goals for Clarkson (5-6, 0-5). Ryan St. Croix, Jack Dowst and J.R. Campbell also scored for Clarkson.

CAZENOVIA 16, SUNY CANTON 12

Cazenovia (6-3) outscored SUNY Canton 13-3 in the first half and went on to win a nonconference game in Canton.

Eric Hanover led Cazenovia with five goals. Kyle Kingsley and Brandon Maxon each scored three goals, and Wes Lawrence tallied two.

Tanner Pratt scored five goals, and Cam Carter produced three goals to lead SUNY Canton (3-6).

WOMEN’S LACROSSE

SUNY GENESEO 19, SUNY POTSDAM 9

Emily Haggerty scored six goals as SUNY Geneseo (10-1, 2-1) defeated SUNY Potsdam in a SUNYAC game in Potsdam.

Meredith Weber scored three goals and Katey Hart, Caroline Buonocore and Lauren Corbett each tallied two for Geneseo.

Bri McClusky led Potsdam (4-7, 0-4) with a three-goal effort. Bailey Weigel scored twice and Hannah Kiggins, Emily Petit, Margaret Wall and Mariah Pierce added single goals.

Keeley Rice scored eight goals and assisted on three more as the Kangaroos (6-4) romped in a nonconference game in Canton.

Robyn Carroll scored four goals and Tressa Goolden tossed in three for SUNY Canton. Hannah Christiansen scored twice and Brooke Knight, Joelle Percy and Kari Christensen added single goals.

Allyson Redden led Colby Sawyer (2-8) with two goals.

GOLF

WHELAN LEADS SLU MEN

SLU’s Jack Whelan shot a one-over par 72 and is tied for second overall after the first day of the New York University-Manhattanville Tournament. He is one stroke behind Williams’ Grant Raffel. SLU is in sixth place in the men’s standings with 311 total strokes. Williams leads with 294.

TENNIS

SAINTS SPLIT WITH ROCHESTER

St. Lawrence University’s women’s team claimed a 6-3 win while the men fell 8-1 in matches against Rochester in Canton.

Elkie Vandenbeemt, Molly Goodman and Hallie Young won singles matches and played on winning doubles teams for the Saints (14-3) in the women’s match.

Rhonny Rosario and Elliot Solandt won a doubles match for the Saints (8-7) in the men’s match.
