St. Lawrence Universitys Greg Carey was selected as an All-American for the second consecutive season garnering first-team honors, which was announced on Friday by the American Hockey Coaches Association.
Carey, one of three Hobey Baker Award finalists, and the first Saints player to be a finalist for the prestigious award, was in attendance for the announcement of the award Friday evening in Philadelphia. Johhny Gaudreau of Boston College was announced as winner of the Hobey Baker Award.
St. Lawrences first two-time All-American since 1998 and the programs seventh overall, Carey was also honored as ECAC co-Player of the Year, was named to the Senior CLASS Award All America first team, was named a College Hockey News All Star and finished as back-to-back ECAC league and overall scoring champion.
Carey, who led the nation in goals (28) as a junior and ranks second in the country in assists (39) as a senior, finishes third in the nation in scoring this campaign with 57 (18-39) points.
