POTSDAM — Rob Kunz tallied five goals to lead the SUNY Potsdam men’s lacrosse team to an 11-8 win over Utica College in a nonconference game Thursday.

Pat Bonafede added three goals with one assist for the Bears (4-2 overall). Matt Moran, Ed Doherty and Matt Kennedy also scored for SUNY Potsdam.

Trent Jacobs and Ross Cree each scored twice to pace Utica (4-3). Zach Stevenson, Josh Torrey, Corey Thompson and Joe Schoen also scored for Utica.

WOMEN’S LACROSSE

RIT 13, SUNY POTSDAM 12

The Tigers (3-3) trailed 7-4 early in the second half and then scored seven straight goals to take control of a nonconference game against SUNY Potsdam in West Palm Beach, Fla.

Sage Sarkis led RIT with 10 goals and one assist, scoring five unassisted goals during the seven-goal run.

Bailey Weigel led the Bears (3-3) with five goals.

Bri McClusky scored two goals with four assists and Michaela Cole and Alyssa Ferenczy scored two goals each for SUNY Potsdam. Maggie McCabe also scored for the Bears.

SUNY OSWEGO 9, SUNY CANTON 8

Emily Lange scored with 3 minutes, 13 seconds left to give the Lakers (5-1) a win over SUNY Canton in a nonconference game in Oswego.

Lange finished with three goals and two assists for the Lakers.

Erannan Shattuck scored two goals with three assists for SUNY Oswego, and Esther Gabriel and Kelsey Henderson each tallied two goals.

Joelle Percy led SUNY Canton (2-4) with three goals and an assist.

Hannah Christiansen produced two goals with one assist and Robyn Carroll, Tressa Goolden and Megan Poupore also scored goals.
