LISBON State police on Wednesday charged Terry P. Pitts, 37, of 217A Taggart Road, with felony third-degree unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine and misdemeanor unlawful possession of a hypodermic instrument.
The Troop B Narcotics Enforcement Unit received information of a possible meth lab at his address, state police said. Troopers said their investigation revealed evidence of an inactive, one-pot meth lab at his residence.
Authorities have previously described a lab of that size as typically employed for personal use, producing on average one to two grams of the drug.
He was arraigned in Morristown Town Court and sent to St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, on $25,000 bail or $50,000 bond.
The Ogdensburg City Police Department and St. Lawrence County Drug Task Force assisted in the investigation.
