DANBURY, Conn. — Ryan Patsch scored three goals and assisted on another to spark the Danbury Whalers past the Watertown Privateers, 5-2, on Sunday in a Federal Hockey League game at Danbury Ice Arena.

Goalie Kevin Hoy stopped 35 of 37 shots for the Whalers. Tim Richter chipped in with a goal and an assist for Danbury (36-19).

Dane Erickson and Matt Graham each scored a goal for the Privateers (20-36), and Beni Berisha assisted on both goals.

Nick Niedert surrendered five goals on 21 shots for Watertown.
