ADAMS — A head-on collision Saturday evening sent the drivers of two vehicles, as well as the child of one of the drivers, to the hospital.

State police said 31-year-old Cindy A. Wasilewski, Adams Center, was southbound on Route 11 near the intersection of Horner Drive at 5:49 p.m. when she failed to observe Haley M. Shampine, 21, Lorraine, who was driving north, and made a left turn, striking Ms. Shampine’s vehicle head-on.

Both drivers, as well as Ms. Wasilewski’s child, suffered minor injuries in the crash and were taken by South Jefferson ambulance to Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown, for treatment.

Ms. Wasilewski was cited with making an unsafe left turn.
