NORFOLK St. Lawrence County sheriffs deputies arrested a Norfolk man on Tuesday on more than 70 counts of possessing and promoting child pornography.
Deputies charged Tyler J. Harriman, 23, of 281 Marsh Road, with 37 counts of possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child and 37 counts of promoting an obscene sexual performance by a child, all felonies.
On Feb. 5, deputies said, they executed a search warrant at Mr. Harrimans parents Marsh Road home where he lived. During the search, deputies, along with Department of Homeland Security special agents, seized five electronic devices, including iPods and computers that were analyzed forensically by the agents for the child pornography.
Deputies alleged that his Dell laptop computer contained the obscene material which included 11 videos of children under the age of 12.
Sheriffs Detective Sean OBrien said the investigation, which started in around June or July, also uncovered 13 images of bondage, torture and intercourse that went uncharged. Those images included six with children under 12-years-old.
He was arraigned in Pierrepont Town Court and was released on his own recognizance.
The investigation continues and additional charges are pending.
