CAPE CORAL, Fla. — Ali Schwenzfeier doubled and singled in the nightcap against Rutgers-Newark, but the Clarkson softball team lost two games in its spring road trip Sunday.

Kat Tamburro scored the first run in program history on a throwing error after Schwenzfeier doubled in the first for the Golden Knights (0-4), which is fielding a team for the first time.

Toniann Donde supplied four runs and four hits for the Scarlet Raiders (2-5).

Clarkson was blanked, 7-0, in the first game of the day against SUNY Oneonta (8-3).
