After being pulled over by Jefferson County sheriffs deputies, Brenda L. Ayers, 33, of LeRay, was charged with driving while intoxicated and two traffic infractions.
She was stopped at 2:16 a.m. Sunday after she was reportedly observed driving across hazardous road markings and failing to keep right on Route 11 in the town of LeRay. Upon the traffic stop, she was determined to be intoxicated and admitted to having two beers in the village of Evans Mills, deputies said.
A breath test determined her blood alcohol content to be 0.13 percent, they said. Under state law, a BAC of 0.08 percent or higher is considered proof of intoxication.
She was charged with DWI and the traffic infractions and will appear in LeRay Town Court.
