ITHACA — The Clarkson University men’s hockey team forced a decisive game three in its ECAC Hockey quarterfinal series with Cornell, defeating the Big Red 4-1 before 3,952 fans on Saturday night at Lynah Rink.

Clarkson (21-16-4) took a 3-0 lead on goals from Jeff DiNallo, Christian Powers and James de Haas. Jarrett Burton ended the scoring with an empty-net goal with eight seconds remaining.

Cornell (16-9-5) received a goal from Patrick McCarron. Game three is at 7 p.m. Sunday.
