A Castorland man was arrested on six felony charges after he allegedly stole $8,753 from his employer in a little more than two months.

According to state police, John W. Garrison, 38, of 5478 Route 410, was the store manager of Longway’s Truck on Route 37 in Pamelia. Police said he altered several Comdata checks and stole the money between Nov. 29 and Jan. 8.

He was charged with five counts of first-degree falsifying business records, a class E felony, and one count of third-degree grand larceny, a class D felony.

Mr. Garrison was arraigned in Pamelia Town Court and sent to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building in lieu of $20,000 cash bail pending a grand jury decision.
