AMHERST - Brendan “Scrappy” Phippen broke a 3-3 tie in the second overtime as Tri-Town skated to the Tier III U-12 state championship with a 4-3 victory over Palisades.

Tri-Town had advanced to the championship with a 3-1 victory over Bronxville 3-1 Sunday morning.Jah Robertson, Noah Adams and Jarrett St. Hilaire scored for the winners in the game.

Tri-Town had downed Onondaga 5-0 and Jametown 5-1 on Friday before dropping a 6-2 decision to Palisades Saturday evening in divisional play.

Camillus downed Tri-Town’s bantams in the Tier III U-14 game.
