POTSDAM — The Clarkson University men’s hockey team scored on its first shot of the game, setting the tone in a 4-0 victory over Princeton that evened a best-of-three ECAC Hockey first-round series Saturday night before 2,055 at Cheel Arena.

Clarkson (19-15-4) will meet the Tigers in a deciding game three at 7 p.m. Sunday. If Clarkson wins, it will advance to play at Cornell in a best-of-three quarterfinal series next weekend.

Jeff DiNallo scored 54 seconds into the game for Clarkson and James de Haas scored two goals for the Golden Knights. Will Frederick had the other goal. Steve Perry made 24 saves for the shutout.
