Ryan Patsch’s power-play goal eight minutes, 41 seconds into the third period helped the Danbury Whalers to a 3-2 Federal Hockey League victory over the Watertown Privateers on Friday night at the Watertown Municipal Ice Arena.

Matt Caranci and Ilya Solarev tallied first period goals, while Kevin Hoy stopped 28 shots for Danbury (29-17), which trails Dayton for first place by three points.

Beni Berisha and Ludlow Harris each netted a goal and an assist for Watertown (17-28). Bryan Kalczynski made 31 saves for the Privateers.

Watertown travels to Danbury to take on Whalers 7:35 tonight, before hosting the Dayton Demonz 5:05 p.m. Sunday.
