SYRACUSE — Carly O’Hern scored 17 points to lead Section 3 champion Jamesville-DeWitt to a 50-44 victory over Section 10 champion Malone in a state Class A girls basketball first-round game Friday night at Onondaga Community College’s SRC Arena.

Meg Hair and Alyssa Robens each added 12 points for Jamesville-DeWitt (21-2), which went 22-for-26 at the foul line.

Erin McDonald led the Huskies (18-3) with 11 points.

Jamesville-DeWitt plays Averill Park of Section 2 in today’s state quarterfinals at OCC.
