GREIG — State police responded to the scene of a two-car accident on North Shore Road Sunday. One driver required medical attention.

Police said 16-year-old Tyler J. Kovach, of Lowville, was driving northbound on North Shore Road near the intersection of Long Point Road when he lost control of his vehicle and entered the opposite lane, striking Frederick L. Siems, 70, of Brantingham.

Mr. Siems was not injured, but Mr. Kovach suffered an injury to his left leg and was taken to St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Utica, for treatment.

No tickets were issued.
