NORFOLK State police on Sunday charged Michael J. Riley, 26, of 192 Fayette Road, with felony first-degree criminal contempt and second-degree harassment, a violation.
Troopers said that at about 3 a.m. at his residence, Mr. Riley had a verbal argument with his girlfriend, Jordan N. White, over his driving her vehicle, after which Mr. Riley chest bumped her, violating of an order of protection. Mr. Riley then allegedly fled the area on a four-wheeler prior to troopers arrival and was found at another residence on Route 420 at about 12:15 p.m.
Mr. Riley was arraigned in Massena Town Court and sent to St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, and is being held on $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 secured bond. He is scheduled to appear in Norfolk Town Court on the charges.
