MASSENA — The Greater Massena Chamber of Commerce is looking for a new site for this year’s Easter egg hunt.

The event is normally held on a Saturday at the Massena Community Center, but Associate Director Penny Pullmain said that facility is unavailable on March 29 and April 5 and 12 because of senior citizens dances those evenings.

“We usually try to get it before the kids head out on break,” she told the chamber Board of Directors.

Spring break is April 14 to 21.

“Ideally we’d like to do the fifth (of April) at the community center, but it’s not available,” chamber board President Miriam S. Catapano said.

Another option, according to Ms. Pullmain, is to hold the event at Springs Park. The drawback to that would be the potential for bad weather the day of the event, which includes crafts and an Easter Egg hunt on the grounds.
