POTSDAM Vanessa Gagnon scored two goals to lead the Clarkson University womens hockey team to a 6-0 victory over Rensselaer on Friday night at Cheel Arena, moving the Golden Knights into first place in the ECAC Hockey standings with one game left in the regular season.
Clarkson (24-4-5 overall, 15-2-4 conference) will win its first regular-season conference title if it defeats last-place Union at 4 p.m. today at Cheel Arena.
Erica Howe made nine saves to shut out the Engineers (10-19-3, 6-13-2).
Olivia Howe, Shelby Nisbet, Erin Ambrose and Jamie Lee Rattray also scored goals for Clarkson.
ST. LAWRENCE 4, UNION 0
Carmen MacDonald made 23 saves to shut out Union (9-23-1, 4-17) in an ECAC Hockey game in Appleton Arena.
Kailee Heidersbach scored two goals to lead the Saints (12-17-3, 11-7-3). Kayla Raniwsky and Dayle Wilkinson also scored for SLU.
SUNY OSWEGO 4, SUNY POTSDAM 3
A three-goal second period helped the Lakers (16-6-2, 9-5-1) knock off the Bears in a SUNYAC game in Potsdam.
SUNY Potsdam (9-13-2, 4-9-2) led 2-1 after the first period thanks to goals from Billy Pascalli and Mike Arnold. Arnold also scored in the third period for the Bears.
Matt Galati scored twice for the Lakers.
CLARKSON 64, BARD 47
John Coleman tallied 23 points as Clarkson (15-9, 9-6) defeated Bard in a Liberty League game in Potsdam.
Felix Abongo scored 13 points with 12 rebounds for Clarkson and Marques Charlton added 11.
Lamar Powell scored 13 points for Bard (5-19, 0-15).
VASSAR 76, ST. LAWRENCE 58
Johnny Mrlik led five players in double figures with 17 points as Vassar (18-6, 10-5) defeated St. Lawrence in a Liberty League game in Canton.
Luke Ladan scored 14 points and Erikson Wasyl added 13 for the Brewers. Evan Carberry scored 12 points and Alex Snyder added 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Kyle Edwards led the Saints (9-15, 5-10) with 12 points and Kieran Miller tossed in 11.
BUFFALO STATE 95, SUNY POTSDAM 80
Justin Mitchell finished with 23 points and 12 rebounds for Buffalo State (12-12, 8-9) in a SUNYAC game in Potsdam.
Roderick Epps scored 25 points for Buffalo State.
Rob Duquette led the Bears (4-20, 2-15) with 29 points and 11 rebounds. Tom Graf scored 16 points and Zac Adams tossed in 10.

Kara McDuffee scored 19 points and grabbed 17 rebounds to lead the Saints (17-7, 13-2) in a Liberty League game in Canton, clinching the regular-season conference title for the Saints.
Kelly Legg tallied 24 points for SLU and Allison Cady scored 19. Cassie St. Hilaire added 10 points.
Cyndi Matsuoka scored 27 points for Vassar (19-5, 12-3), and Caitlin Drakeley added 16 points and 10 rebounds.

Ashley Loggins supplied 19 points and eight rebounds to lead the Golden Knights (9-14, 4-11) in a Liberty League game in Potsdam.
Stephanie Grobe scored 12 points and Cara Manfredi added 11 for Clarkson.
Tytravia Riley led Bard (1-23, 0-15) with 22 points and 14 rebounds and Bianka Bell added 13.

Alyssa Crosby scored 20 points as the Cannoneers beat the Lakers in a Mid-State Athletic Conference semifinal at Onondaga Community College in Syracuse.
Jasmine Canaday generated a double-double of 16 points and 14 rebounds for Jefferson Community College (19-5), which plays host OCC in the championship game at noon today.
Casey Dean paced Finger Lakes Community College (11-11) with 12 points.
