An information session on the Affordable Care Act will be held at Jefferson Community College, in Room 6-002 of the Jules Center, at 12:30 p.m. and again at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 27.
Each session is open to the public and both individuals and small-business owners are encouraged to attend.
Guest speakers will be Katrina L. Kapustay, small business assistance program specialist for the Greater Watertown-North Country Chamber of Commerce, and Donna D. Hynes, insurance program coordinator for the North Country Prenatal/Perinatal Council. Topics covered include how to sign up for health care, consequences of not meeting the March 15 deadline and available subsidies.
They also will offer an opportunity to schedule an appointment with their representing agencies and provide information on additional offices that provide signup assistance.
