A Johnson City man is being held on $20,000 cash bail, accused of possessing heroin and crack cocaine in Watertown.
Anthony E. Scott, 29, of 11 Taylor St., Johnson City, was arrested on the 400 block of Clay Street shortly before noon Tuesday after police said he was observed shoving a black sock containing the drugs into a snowbank when Patrolman Matthew S. Dawley pulled up. The sock contained 15.5 grams of heroin and 109 grams of crack cocaine in plastic sacks.
Mr. Scott was charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class B felony. He was taken to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building pending arraignment in City Court.
