PHILADELPHIA — Sarah Mattingly scored 13 points as second-seeded Indian River topped No. 7 East Syracuse-Minoa 51-35 in a Section 3 Class A girls basketball quarterfinal on Tuesday night.

Kammika Barnes added 12 points and 10 rebounds for Indian River (16-3), which will face No. 6 Whitesboro in the semifinals at 11 a.m. Saturday at Onondaga Community College’s Allyn Gym.

Ashley Scalzo paced East Syracuse-Minoa (9-11) with 12 points.

WEEDSPORT 55, THOUSAND ISLANDS 52

Abby Marsden’s 17 points helped the No. 10 Warriors upset the second-seeded Vikings in a Class C quarterfinal at Clayton.

Grace Beardsley collected 15 points for Weedsport (12-8), which will face No. 3 Fabius-Pompey in the semifinals.

Kali Eyles scored 14 points and Ashley Anchor added 13 points for Thousand Islands (16-4).

COPENHAGEN 42, DERUYTER 25

Marinda Allen scored a game-high 14 points and recorded 13 rebounds as the top-seeded Golden Knights cruised to a Class D quarterfinal victory in Copenhagen.

Maci Spaulding contributed 12 points and six assists for Copenhagen (16-2), which advances to face Oriskany in the semifinals at 5:30 p.m. Sunday at OCC.

Courtney Randall scored 10 points for the ninth-seeded Rockets (7-8).

ORISKANY 61, LYME 24

Jordan Sahl had 22 points and 10 rebounds as the fourth-seeded Redskins routed the No. 5 Indians in a Class D quarterfinal at Oriskany.

Lexi Drake and Hannah Hoehn each scored 10 points for Oriskany (15-4).

Sisters Yanna and Enesa Ososkalo each scored seven points for Lyme (13-6).

HAMILTON 52, SACKETS HARBOR 22

Olivia Dow scored 13 points as the second-seeded Emerald Knights downed the No. 10 Patriots in a Class D quarterfinal at Hamilton.

Jess Welsh chipped in 10 points for Hamilton (16-2).

Samantha Menapace paced Sackets Harbor (7-12) with eight points.

BOYS BASKETBALL

LITTLE FALLS 72, IHC 69 (OT)

Mitchell Baumeister scored 25 points, hitting seven of his team’s 10 3-pointers, as the fourth-seeded Mounties rallied past the No. 5 Cavaliers in a Class C quarterfinal at Little Falls.

Todd Hubbell added 19 points for Little Falls (17-3), which trailed 37-30 at halftime.

Jude Whalen led Immaculate Heart Central (14-6) with 21 points, Jude Fusilli added 18 and Jake Fusilli 17 for the Cavaliers, who made nine 3-pointers.

WEST CANADA VALLEY 84, SANDY CREEK 64

Jordan Yaworski scored a game-high 24 points and Robert Davenport contributed 22 points as the sixth-seeded Indians downed the third-seeded Comets in a Class C quarterfinal at Sandy Creek.

Alex Williams scored 15 points for West Canada Valley (16-4) and Ryan Grogan chipped in with 12 points.

Reis Harding scored 17 points to pace Sandy Creek (17-3), Tyler Swarthout contributed 16 points, Zachary Halsey added 12 points and Matt Reese 11 points and 14 rebounds.

FABIUS-POMPEY 53, SOUTH LEWIS 50

Stewart Wright connected on a 3-pointer with 3.1 seconds remaining to lift top-seeded Fabius-Pompey (18-2) over No. 8 South Lewis in a Class C quarterfinal at Fabius.

Wright finished with 32 points, including five 3s.

For the Falcons, Jason Martin provided 19 points, 10 rebounds, three assists and seven steals.

Matt Mooney chipped in 16 points and 11 rebounds for South Lewis (15-5).

NEW YORK MILLS 84, LYME 46

The top-seeded Marauders ended No. 8 Lyme’s season with an easy Class D home quarterfinal win.

Nick Comenole scored 32 points for New York Mills (18-1) and Terry Nichols added 17. The Indians finished 12-8.
