Marc Thompson scored three goals as the Danville Dashers edged the Watertown Privateers, 5-4, in a shootout on Saturday night in a Federal Hockey League game at the Watertown Municipal Ice Arena.

Thompson tallied the lone goal of the shootout to lift the last-place Dashers (11-29) to the victory.

Goalie Matt Anthony made 21 saves for the Privateers (14-22), who were dealt their eighth consecutive loss, including four to Danville.

Four different players scored a goal each for the Privateers.

The Privateers play at home again today in a scheduled 5:05 p.m. start against Dayton.
