Privateers suffer seventh straight setback

DANBURY, Conn. — The Danbury Whalers scored three goals in both the first and second periods, sending the Watertown Privateers to their seventh straight loss with a 7-2 Federal Hockey League win Friday at the Danbury Arena.

Mike Henderson netted a pair of goals in the second period and Matt Caranci notched five points, including four assists, for Danbury (24-11). Mike Brown made 27 saves for the Whalers.

Beni Berisha and Dane Erickson each scored for Watertown (14-21). Bryan Kalczynski stopped 43 shots for the Privateers.

Watertown returns home after an eight-game road trip to the face the Danville Dashers 7:35 tonight at the Watertown Municipal Arena.
