MALONE — Zeb Brown and Kaden Pickering each finished with a hat trick as the Norwood-Norfolk hockey team clinched the Northern Athletic Conference Division II regular season title with a 7-4 victory over host Malone Monday night.

Kyle MacIntire and Brandon Richards made 13 and 10 saves, respectively, for the Flyers (14-4, 11-4), who scored a pair of unanswered goals in the third period to hold off the Huskies. Norwood-Norfolk will be the top seed and receive and a first-round bye in the Section 10 Division II playoffs.

Bailey Conklin scored back-to-back goals in the opening minutes of the third period to cut the deficit to 5-4 for Malone (6-13-1, 4-10-1).

ST. LAWRENCE 7, OFA 0

Nate Burnett stopped 29 shots for the shutout as the Larries clinched the second seed in the NAC Division II playoffs with a victory over the Blue Devils (8-11, 6-8) in Brasher Falls.

Kody Kocsis finished with a hat trick and Lukas Arquiett scored twice for St. Lawrence (12-6-1, 8-5-1).

CANTON 2, ISLANDERS 2

Cody Moore scored an unassisted, power-play goal with one minute, 45 seconds remaining in regulation as the Golden Bears rallied for an NAC tie with the Islanders at Alexandria Bay.

Josh Huiatt also scored for Canton (9-6-2, 7-1-2) and goalie Jon Stone made 29 saves.

Jordan VanBrocklin scored a goal and assisted on another for the Islanders (5-11-1, 2-10-1) and Miles Kearns made 38 saves.

SARANAC LAKE 7, TUPPER LAKE 4

Kevin Fisher and Tristan Archambault scored two goals apiece, and the Chiefs scored four unanswered goals to gain a nonleague victory at Tupper Lake.

Jeff Smith made 26 saves for Saranac Lake.

Hudson Sparks scored and provided two assists for Tupper Lake (0-18-1).

WRESTLING

OFA 66, MALONE 10

The Blue Devils secured five pins and six forfeits to claim an NAC victory over the Huskies (0-7) at Malone.

Nathan Murdock (145 pounds) and Austin LaLonde (120) won their respective matches with first-round pins for Ogdensburg Free Academy (4-3).

BOYS BASKETBALL

THOUSAND ISLANDS 61, LYME 57

Christian Shaw scored 23 points to help propel the Vikings past the Indians in a nonleague game in Chaumont.

Austin Matthews chipped in with 10 points for Thousand Islands (9-9).

Troy Wilson scored a game-high 24 points and totaled six rebounds and six assists for Lyme (11-7), and Timmy Morrow contributed 18 points and grabbed 13 rebounds.
