EVANS MILLS — Tremaine McElroy, 39, of 26820 Libby Lane, was arrested Saturday afternoon after he allegedly threw a woman’s cellphone at her during a domestic disturbance Friday at their residence.

Police said Mr. McElroy and Victoria Cottle had engaged in a verbal argument at around 8 p.m. Friday, during which Mr. McElroy took her cellphone and threatened to throw it at her face. State police said when she turned around, he threw it at her, striking her in the elbow, causing bruising and swelling.

He was arrested at 3:30 p.m. and charged with second-degree harassment. He was arraigned in Theresa Town Court and turned over to military custody.
