CRIMINAL POSSESSION MARIJUANA - GOUVERNEUR - Ogdensburg-based state police charged Daniel P. Robertson, 34, of 154 North Main St., Massena, with first-degree criminal possession of marijuana (10 pounds or more) following a stop at 10:15 p.m. Sunday on Route 11 in the town of Gouveneur. He was arraigned in Oswegatchie Town Court and sent to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility with bail set at $7,500 cash or $15,000 bond.
ASSAULT - LOUISVILLE - Massena-based state police charged Thomas D. Sawyer, 36, of 355 Belmont Courts, Ogdensburg, with third-degree assault, first-degree criminal contempt and endangering the welfare of a child after responding to suspicious vehicle complaint at 10:59 a.m. Sunday from the town of Waddington. Troopers stopped the vehicle in the town of Louisville.
Sawyer was reportedly a passenger in an eastbound vehicle on Route 37 and was observed punching a 14-year-old male while the vehicle was traveling on Route 37 in the town of Waddington. Two other children, ages 12 and 6, were also in the vehicle at the time of the incident.
Sawyer also allegedly violated an existing St. Lawrence County Family Court Order of Protection, mandating that he not assault or harass his 14-year-old son.
He was arraigned by Waddington Town Justice Larry Sears and sent to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility with no bail set.
PETIT LARCENY - MALONE - Malone-based state police charged Tacola D. Buckshot, 28, of Akwesasne with petit larceny following a larceny from building complaint lodged with troopers at 7:09 p.m. Sunday from the town of Malone.
PROPERTY DAMAGE ACCICENTS - CANTON - State police investigated a number of property damage accidents Sunday around the region. Among those:
■ Kendra M. Hanna, 23, of Rennsealaer Falls struck a parked vehicle at 3:45 p.m. in a driveway at 207 Congress Street in the town of Canton.
