A Fort Drum aviators return from deployment will be featured prominently in a Budweiser advertisement playing Sunday during the Super Bowl.
Lt. Chuck Nadd, a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter pilot in the 10th Combat Aviation Brigade, was filmed after returning from Afghanistan this month as his hometown of Winter Park, Fla., threw him a large party and a parade that included the brewers iconic Clydesdale horses.
According to the Orlando Sentinel, Lt. Nadd was selected by the company after being nominated by his girlfriend, Shannon Cantwell, through the Veterans of Foreign Wars organization. The beer company, initially planning for the ad to be 30 seconds, found enough good footage to expand it to 60 seconds, the paper reported.
The newspaper said Lt. Nadd and Ms. Cantwell will be at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey for the game as guests of the company.
Lt. Nadd is a member of the brigades Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 3rd General Support Aviation Battalion, 10th Aviation Regiment.
