ANTWERPEarl W. Wagstaff Jr., 47, of 38029 Route 26, was arrested at 10:26 p.m. Friday and charged with driving while intoxicated after being stopped for a license plate display infraction on Route 26, according to Jefferson County sheriffs deputies.
Deputies said the incident occurred after an alleged domestic disturbance at his residence.
He was taken to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building, Watertown, where a breath test determined his blood alcohol content to be .09 percent. Under state law, a BAC of 0.08 percent or more constitutes proof of intoxication.
He was released to family and is to appear in Town Court.
